Great Oil

I have ordered the 5w 30 in the past and it is a great product. I have and still do run triax synthetic fleet supreme in all my cars, truck and mowers with no issues at all. I think the 5w 40 is newer b/c i don't remember it available the last time i ordered. I'm sure it will be as good as the 30. The oil seems to stay clean ( as in not turning black) longer than any other synthetic I have used.

I would like to review on my Triax diesel 5-40 diesel oil. This is an excellent product for my 2007 f250 Harley Davidson 6.0 PSD. My truck runs smoother, cooler, quieter, and gives me rapid starts every time. It has also given me 1.7 miles more per gaallon I have shared my personal experience with friends and most are now using this product.
I also use Triax 5-30 motor oil in 3 of my other vehicles and have had a great experience with this product. Mileage is up from 1.2 miles to 1.8 miles, they run quieter, smoother and also with rapid starts every time
Have finally found my new oils.

A must for highway truck

I only got one truck, 2017 Peterbilt 579. Tried this after reading about it online and I'm not disappointed. After 4 blackstone tests at 25k, 50k, 75k and 100k miles its STILL ok. Also, 1.2-2 mpg better, Crazy. Rotella woulda turned to slush 30k miles ago. I pull a 20 ton reefer from Houston to NYC and back so an oil like this is worth every dime.

Have been using TRIAX in my Cummins ever since I drained the factory oil. People are always commenting on how quiet my diesel is. I have noticed a 1.2-1.5 bump in mpg. I have done some other modifications to the truck so I can't say for sure if it's the oil or the mods. I will be interested to see what Blackstone Labs say about this oil change I have coming up.

Question

Is the new upgraded formulation going to get the API-SP rating? Mysteriously, Chrysler want's API-SP as mandatory for Gen3 EcoDiesel's and there are a lot of API-SP oils with HIGH SAPS out there which makes no sense whatsoever. Here's the wording of the requirement from the manual. Oddly, the correct spec is "recommended". Here it is straight from the manual "We recommend using 5W-40 synthetic engine oil such as Mopar® that meets the manufacturer Material Standard MS-12991 and the API SP engine oil category is required."

MS-12991 should have been the requirement (LOW SAPS) and API-SP as optional in lieu of API-SN being that API-SP oils are designed to help prevent LSPI, a type of engine knock that that concerns ONLY gasoline engines. I wrote them for an explanation and they went silent.

New Purchase through Amazon

Curious how this oil will function in my 2016 Ram 3500, Cummins TD. Will send off for analysis after I run about 10,000 miles. We tow a 10,000 pound Travel trailer about 7000 miles per year. Hope I'm not disappointed with this purchase. Maybe I should have ordered from this site, rather than Amazon.
